We believe healthcare for women needs some work, and that the status quo isn’t good enough for you. That’s why we’ve built a healthcare experience around you and your needs – not around insurance companies, doctors, or your employer.

What makes Liv different from a typical doctor's office?

Our innovative care model puts you at the center, making it easy to start out healthy and stay that way.
We offer mental health, obstetrics, and gynecology all housed in one location. We focus on the patient experience and using technology to streamline it by booking appointments and communicating test results. For problems requiring a specialist, we promise your records will make it to their offices and in very complicated situations, the providers will speak with the referral doctor directly.
At Liv, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all healthcare approach – because you deserve to be treated like the whole woman that you are!
What type of care do you provide?
Your Liv membership gives you access to a full suite of services including gynecology, obstetrics, mental wellness, and so much more, all under one roof!
Women’s care encompasses all stages of life, although care is different depending on your age and your goals. Some of the examples of care we provide are:
Gynecology at all stages:
- Adolescent gynecology
- Contraception
- Gynecologic infections
- Menstrual problems
- Peri-menopause and menopause
- Well-Woman exams
Obstetrics:
- Pre-conception care
- Prenatal care and delivery

Mental Health at all stages:
Our Mental Wellness Counselor provides short-term therapy for member’s mental health needs. Your sessions at Liv will focus on treatment goals that feel achievable in a few months’ time. Our counselor may also advise you to connect to external resource providers or longer term care if more appropriate based on your mental health concerns.

How does the membership fee work?
The membership fee is an annual fee of $149 that is not collected until your first appointment. It renews annually unless you choose to cancel – but we hope you love Liv as much as we think you will!
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! We accept Aetna, Cigna, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, and United Healthcare. During your digital check-in process prior to your first appointment, you will be able to provide your insurance info.
The cost for your visit will depend on your insurance coverage, co-pays, and any deductibles you may have. We also offer cash-pay options for those without insurance or with unique aspects to their plans and coverage. Our team is here to help you figure it all out in the least costly way for you!
Can I use an FSA or HSA for the membership or services?

Liv is located at 1443 U Street, in the heart of DC one block away from the Metro. We can’t wait for you to see our new space – we know you will love it as much as we do!
At what hospital will you be delivering?
Our affiliated hospital is Sibley Memorial Hospital, located at 5255 Loughboro Rd NW, Washington, DC 20016.
Are partners allowed at sonogram visits?
Yes! Liv is now allowing partners to accompany patients to ultrasounds, in accordance with current COVID-19 guidelines.
