Washington, D.C. (February 3, 2021) – Today, Advantia Health is proud to welcome Family Nurse Practitioner Deborah Cobb as the first primary care provider for Liv by Advantia Health, the company’s flagship practice opening in March 2021. Liv will provide complete coordinated care for women, including primary care, obstetrics, gynecology, mental wellness and more, all under the same roof.

“I have had the best outcomes with patients when we have time for longer conversations about their health – that’s why I believe so strongly in Liv’s member-centered approach,” said Deborah Cobb. “For women, preventative primary care can impact everything from physical and mental health to gynecological health and fertility, so getting more time with your primary care provider has a huge positive influence on overall wellness.” As a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Deborah will cover a broad range of healthcare needs including diagnostic and preventative care, health education and counseling, age-appropriate cancer screenings, and diagnosing and treating both acute and chronic conditions. When needed, she will also be able to prescribe medications that are eligible for free same-day delivery to all Liv members.

“Deborah’s focus on preventative medicine is the perfect fit for Liv and our commitment to whole-person care,” said Dr. Sharon Kressel, lead Ob-Gyn at Liv. “I can’t wait to open our doors with Deborah and bring the next generation of women’s healthcare to DC.”

Deborah has fifteen years of experience as a primary care provider and an ICU nurse. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Simmons College, and received her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University. Prior to joining Liv, Cobb provided primary care at Advantage Care Physicians for three years, serving New York City patients from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds with compassion and expertise. Cobb has also been a family nurse practitioner at Premise Health and Wake Forest Baptist Health Community Physicians, and an ICU nurse at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Liv by Advantia Health will accept most major insurance plans for health visits. With a low annual membership fee, the practice offers online scheduling, technology to support virtual care, personalized care coordination, and more. Liv will welcome and support women at all stages of life with all health needs, from wellness and prevention to pregnancy and menopause. Liv members will also have access to community programming and partnership benefits with local businesses that focus on empowering women. You can learn more about becoming a Liv member here.
